Beatniks on Conkey proudly presents " A Benefit Performance of The Vagina Monologues, Hammond" by Eve Ensler.  The "Monologues" is given by Eve Enslers' VDay Foundation to raise awareness of the issues women face around the world.  It is a show that will move you in many ways and something that both men and women will want to experience.   It is funny, surprising, irreverent, and bold.  Monologues is intended for mature audiences and will be performed Saturday  Feb 27th at 8pm & Sunday Feb 28th at 2pm and 5:30pm. The cost of admission is $25 and refreshments are included.  Proceeds from the production will benefit Haven House, a shelter for women and children of domestic violence, right here in Hammond.There will be a cash auction after each performance. Last year we raised over $4,000.00 for Haven House, thanks to the generosity of all who participated.
