The show is set in the 1970's, about two out of work (male) musicians who room together in New York. Jon decides to declare them as married to save on taxes. All is good until the IRS decides to investigate them. His roommate, Leslie, now forced to dress as a woman with the help of Jon's fiance. Who as it turns out is having an affair with Leslie. The IRS man shows up unexpected, as does Jon's mom. Leslie's ex-girlfriend then shows up wondering why he is acting so different lately. Throw in a nosy landlord and you have a wonderful night of comedy.
