This heartwarming romantic comedy takes place in the apartment of Harry Baldwin, an artist/ short order cook who is beset by Kathleen Trafalgar a debutant heiress who wants Harry's license plate for her husband.  Harry has some problems like drinking and gambling, but those are just on the surface, he has some deeper demons to wrestle.  Kathleen it seems has the perfect life of wealth and culture, until she meets Harry that is.  You will fall in love with these unlikely characters.
